Default Possible malicious URL or Cookie message - Ebay

    Hello
    I am after some advice

I have a licenced home edition, and I constantly get the 'Possible malicious URL or Cookie' error every time I visit Ebay, on every page.

I have told it to allow the URL and remember forever, still no change. I have tried all combinations of allow through the message but still no change.

    How do I fix this?

As an aside, I also have N360 running as AV, primarily using Spybot for malware. Is this an issue?

    Thanks
    Brad

    Hi,

which Version of Spybot are you using?
What is your Internet-Browser and OS?
Do you have Internet-Security enabled in N360?

    Hello,

This is caused by the proxy of Spybot.
I'm afraid the "Add URL to whitelist" function is only for the single ebay page, and not for ebay in general.
So when you visit another ebay page you will be asked again.

If you want to completely disable the proxy:
Open the Spybot – Search & Destroy “Start Center“ and click on “Settings“.
    Choose the tab “Internet Connection“.
Here you can untick the checkbox in front of "Use Spybot proxy".
    Now click “Apply“ and “OK“.

    Best regards

I have been dogged by the same problem for the past several days, it has happened before a couple of times and is a real pain, it usually goes away after a day but not his time!

I have followed your advice above and there was nothing to change. I did not see "Use Spybot proxy" but "use the following proxy settings" was already unchecked. Mine was set to "use the same global settings as internet explorer"

    I am on W7-64 Spybot 2.0.12.0 settings 2.0.12.130

    Any other advice please?

    Mike

    Hello,

You might want to upgrade to Spybot 2.1.
