Spybot 1.6/2 compatibility

Hello,

first, I have to say, really nice piece of soft Using it since ages, cant even remember when !

Can you have both versions installed at the same time, I mean v1.6 and v2.1?
BTW, any chance that you provide a Portable version of S&D?

Portableapps has a portable version here:

It says at the bottom it was made with permission from safer networking.

I'm not sure on your first question.As I recall,when the version prior to Spybot 2.1 was in beta(Spybot 2),some people kept the Spybot 1.6.2 version,and had the Spybot 2.0 version installed in a separate folder,I think,and there were no problems:

I couldn't find anything on whether it's recommended to not have Spybot 1.6.2 and Spybot 2.1 installed at the same time on the Spybot site.
But on the other hand,I believe Spybot 2.1 asks you to uninstall the older 1.6.2 version when installing,so I guess that could be taken as a bit of a hint that one ought to uninstall the older one.
