Default Fix Selected Gives Appearacne of Fixing, but Nothing Done

    Hi,

Running on Windows 7, spybot 2.1.18

I used the old version of Spybot all the time, for years. It seemed to work well and nicely fixed things and I was very happy with it. But I can't seem to get the new version to fix anything or give me any useful information. I ran Spybot and it found a Trojan and tracking stuff, so I "Fix Selected" and it gave the Green Checks like it fixed things. But the log says it didn't do a darn thing, and running another scan shows just that It doesn't say anything about not repairing or any other information... there's a show details link that alludes to helping you remove things, but it just takes you to the forum search page without any results.

Does Fix Selected actually do anything? Are you supposed to repair items another way? I'm more than a little exasperated with a product that I used to be extremely happy with, and promoted to all my friends, but now... not so much. Any guidance for actually getting this version to work would be appreciated

Here's the current list generated of nothing done:

Spybot 1.6.2 used to have both Checks and Fixes logfiles, but Spybot 2.0 and 2.1 only have Checks logfiles for the scan results (or Scan Results logfiles if you opt to save a logfile after the scan),and Fixes logfiles do not appear to be available. It was normal in Spybot 1.6.2 for the Checks logfiles to show (Nothing Done) because it was showing the results of a scan-i.e a check. It was only the Fixes logfiles that showed (Fixed) or (Fixing Failed) in them.
I guess doing so saves on the amount of logfiles, but personally,I did prefer to have the Fixes logfiles and wish they were available with Spybot 2.1.

If you haven`t already, please try running the Spybot scan as administrator:
