Windows explorer Crashes when right clicked in any folder

I encountered this problem and was not sure where it came from. I went back and reviewed shell context items since the guidance was that it would be rooted there. Right-click crashes are caused by third-party shell extensions. You may use the excellent ShellExView tool to isolate the problem. For more information, see "Method 2" in article Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers. I down loaded shellexview to go through all the shell extensions that were not Microsoft (lots of crashes before I disabled Spybot-S&D Explorer Integration and the world was right again

Love your product but cannot operate with a bum windows explorer. Can you please look into this issue and provide a solution and an ETA. Right now I have disabled your context menu handler. I would have removed the soft ware and reinstall the prior version which was without issue but I want to give you a first crack at it

Do you have Spybot version 2.0 or 2.1?
I saw somebody mentioning that the crash wasn't happening in 2.1,but I only saw it mentioned once,so I couldn't confirm that this was fixed for sure.

Probably resurfaced, I did not have an issue with this until I installed version 2. Someone needs to look through the logs for the repair steps. It clearly crashes and I can replicate it every time. I just need to enable the shell context

The tool listed at the end of the thread I linked to is to list other installed context menu that haven't been whitelisted.I mistakenly assumed it would have an option to send the logfile to Team Spybot,but looks like it just creates a logfile.
I'm not sure if they are still looking for what causes the Windows Explorer crash or not,but your best bet is to run the tool,and copy and paste it at the end of this thread:

So,I'll assume it's still going to be fixed in the next Spybot version,somewhere down the line.

Even in version 2.4, I still have this problem (win 8.1)
As a workaround, you can use ShellExView (you can find it here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html )
Install the program, run it and search for "Spybot S&D Explorer Integration".
Right click on it and select Disable.
The problem will be solved.
