Spybot not removing win32.downloader.gen

Spybot showed the presence of win32.downloader.gen, but couldn't remove it without a restart. I did this three times. Each time, the scan returned to the Search and Destroy page and although it showed 1 problem at the bottom of the page there was no way to fix the selected problem. When I re ran Spybot after starting Windows, the problem was still there. Any suggestions please?
