Default Accidentaly clicked on a potential malicious link, am I infected?

    Hello,

I received an email from Edit Saying that my account had been compromised.

The email suggested to click on the link labeled update.apple.com.

Unfortunately, I clicked the link which instantly redirected me to an old nonsensical apple webpage.

This was weird so, so in retrospective I hovered over the "update.apple.com" link and found that it actually directed me to Edit

Can I get malware just by clicking a link?

How do I make sure I am not infected?

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello jumpinjivinjoe,

To request assistance in this forum the FAQ includes guidelines in post #1 and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary DDS and aswMBR logs used for analysis.

Then start a new topic providing the logs so a volunteer analyst may advise when available. Please do not post links or email addresses that others may inadvertently open.

    Best regards.
