Real time spybot blocking or removal

I have been using Spybot for many years to eliminate data collection from my browser or computer. Some software is active in real time, such as my anti-virus and my anti-malware programs. I do not believe that Spybot monitors my browsing in real time. Why not? Thanks for your attention.

The answer to that varies between versions.

Spybot 1.6.2 uses teatimer.

Spybot 2.2 free edition doesn't have an equivalent to that:
