Hello,
You have done very well following instructions .
I see Avira Anti Virus and Comodo Firewall, both of these are fine, with these two programs you only need one of each, more than one is overkill and can slow your system down so just keep these two, keep them updated and with Avira run a scan at least once a week .
You can also keep Spybot Search and Destroy and Malwarebytes, keep them updated and scan for threats at least once a week
I see Java installed and its important to keep it updated, not sure what version you have .
We need to update your Java to keep you more secure
- Go to your Control Panel and click on the Java Icon ( looks like a little coffee cup ) click on About and you should have Version 7 Update 51, if not proceed with the instructions.
- Go to the update Tab and update it
- Important, during the upgrade UNCHECK ASK TOOL BAR. ( you do not need or want this )
- Then go to your Add Remove Programs (WIN XP) or Programs and Features (Vista / Win 7) in the Control Panel and uninstall all previous versions.
You can verify the installation Here
Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool again.
- Click on the Uninstall button.
- Click Yes when asked are you sure you want to uninstall.
- Both AdwCleaner.exe, its folder and all logs will be removed.
Open OTL and click on Clean Up and it will remove programs we used to clean your system along with there backups, any programs that where not removed you can just drag to the trash.
Malwarebytes is the free version and yours to keep and will not be removed
Safe Surfn
