    Samwise,

Create a new user account and give it administrator privileges. Then log into that account and see if you can get to the elevated command prompt. If so run the sfc /scannow step.

    Hi Samwise,

Resolving this issues is proving to be a bit more difficult than I anticipated. I don't think malware caused the issue with your Administrator privileges, so let's be sure there is no malware present. Then if you like I can refer you to our Tech Team and see if they can sort out your Admin Privileges problem.

    How is the computer running?
Are you receiving any error messages? If so, what are they.

    Hi OCD,
Everything seems to be running fine. I guess I just won't reload the spybot I paid for? Is MS security essentials and no script sufficient?

Yes they should be fine. Unless you would like to go with one of the free Anti-Virus programs that are available, but MSE is good also.

    Free Anti-Virus

Did you want that Tech Team referral?

Since this issue appears to be resolved ... this Topic has been closed. Glad I could help.

If you still require help, please start a new topic and include fresh DDS and aswMBR logs, along with a link to your previous thread.

Please do not add any logs that might have been requested previously, you would be starting fresh.

Applies only to the original poster, anyone else with similar problems please start your own topic.
