How do I turn on "Live Protection"?

I am using the Free version of Spybot 2. When I hover over the Spybot Icon it says that my Live Protection is Off. How can I turn it on? Or, is it not available in the Free version?
When I left click the Icon, the dialog box opens and when I click on Live Protection to turn it on, it says I need a license. I do have one! Why am I getting this message and how can I correct it?
