Default Infected with adware (multiple instances)

Running a Win7 laptop. Protected with current and latest version of Avast with everything turned on. It did not detect any threat. Adware issues began and machine came to it's knees.

I loaded (inadvertently the older version 1 of) Spybot and ran it. Removed all found infections, about 60 in the first run. One (can't remember what one) was listed as not "guaranteed" but it needed to reboot and let automatic scan check memory which I did. Got a clean scan at that point. I hoped I was done - not so....

Infections continued. Researched and found I was using older version of Spybot. Loaded latest version and ran it. Same result as before, found 90+ malware like before. Ran clean process, with reboot recommended with memory scan. Same result, initial clean but issue came right back. (malware seemed like it had a double aa in the middle of the name, sorry I can't remember more, been several weeks).

Over the course of a few minutes there seem to be dozens of infections that are brought in that a new scan of spybot can find.

I appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks in advance, ...Denny

    Hello dennybetz,

Did you elevate permissions to run Spybot - Search & Destroy? How can I get administrator rights under Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8?

To request assistance in this forum the FAQ includes guidelines in post #1 and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the preliminary DDS and aswMBR logs used for analysis.

Then start a new topic providing the logs so a volunteer analyst may advise when available.

    Best regards.
