    Cool,glad you got the refund.
Ok,I have access to Spybot right now.I don't seem to have a bdcore.dll.upd file anywhere that I can find, but that doesn't mean that bdcore.dll.upd is not legit. It might be there in your folder for some reason,so you might not want to delete it.
bdcore.dll 1.1.0.1.12 should be the newest version.

I see from your logfile there were some problems retrieving the update info file the other day:

I'm not so sure that's related to antivirus updates, though.
    Do you use Spybot's proxy?

    Default bdcore.dll

bdcore.dll.upd is likely illegitimate. Since spybot is completely dysfunctional, it is either delete that file and see if it works or uninstall spybot

From your logfile,I see that the updateinfo file is still not able to be downloaded,so could you please answer my question about whether you use the Spybot proxy or you don't use it?

bdcore.dll.upd is likely illegitimate. Since spybot is completely dysfunctional, it is either delete that file and see if it works or uninstall spybot
The .upd at the very end probably means it's an update file, and this website shows that it is usually info about an update, though it could be a data file:
    http://www.reviversoft.com/file-extensions/upd
Deleting it is unlikely to do anything, though I suppose weirder things have happened. Is bdcore.dll.upd located in the AV folder, where the bdcore.dll file is?

FraserR's logfile gave the appearance of having the latest bdcore.dll file, but then they still weren't getting antivirus updates, but then started getting updates again after renaming the bdcore.dll file and updating again, from their account, which is also something to keep in mind for you,but first, the reason your updateinfo isn't being retrieved really should be discussed.

Default 2.3 is what really started all this stuff and yes, the bdcore files both in AV

.upd file extension did not matter. Deleting it did nothing. Also, I told you before I have tried running spybot both through the proxy server and through the regular server. No difference. It will not update. Should I try uninstalling and then reinstalling?
Also I had these icons appear on my desktop. TeamSpybot-20140526-111228 and TeamSpybot-20140530-152016. Pretty weird...

I believe those are something from when you send a report in,as I had a TeamSpybot-20140311-165258.cab file appear on my desktop when I was looking for something in Spybot and almost sent a report in by mistake.(Which might have been kind of embarrassing.)

Should I try uninstalling and then reinstalling?
Yes,you can try that if you wish, and see if you can receive updates afterwards.
Please make sure you don't delete the C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2 folder when you uninstall, leave it as is,because some of your license files are contained there.

Also, I told you before I have tried running spybot both through the proxy server and through the regular server.
The reason I am asking about the proxy is because after the bdcore.dll update,I noticed that my local area connection is set to use a proxy, and when I remove the checkmark and look again, the checkmark reappears.Within Spybot, the Spybot proxy is not checkmarked. It's possible mine is that way because of something I may have done along the line.
I have been asking you if you are knowingly using the Spybot proxy right now because a proxy is shown in your update logfile,so I can try to find out if the proxy might be active right now without you being aware. This is your logfile the other day:
    SDUpdSvc.exe [2014-05-30 15:15:35] [+] Updating Service is active.
    SDUpdSvc.exe [2014-05-30 15:15:35] [i] Using proxy: localhost:8080
I wanted to see if using the proxy was related to your updateinfo file not being downloaded:
    SDUpdSvc.exe [2014-05-30 15:15:53] [-] Did not retrieved update info file (attempt 3 of 3).
    SDUpdSvc.exe [2014-05-30 15:15:54] [.] Info file part done.
SDUpdSvc.exe [2014-05-30 15:15:54] [-] Was unable to download update info file!
The update info file is needed to see what updates need to be downloaded,I believe, though as I said before I'm unsure if it's needed for the antivirus updates.
If you would answer my question about the proxy currently being on(knowingly),then whether the updateinfo not being downloaded is due to the proxy,or perhaps your firewall, could be looked at.I was trying to get an answer on that before reinstalling Spybot or renaming bdcore.dll was attempted, since it's relatively simple but there has been an unnecessary delay with no answer, since you would want to have your antivirus updates as quickly as possible.

I logged a ticket and was told to try downloading the updates list manually (did this today) and it reset it.

I just *hope* it keeps working, I guess I'll know tomorrow and in the upcoming days... :-)

    I'm on Win7 64bit.

Here was the instructions I followed that fixed it:

    *****************

If this does not help please try to download the manual updates which can be found here:

    http://www.safer-networking.org/upda...d_includes.exe

Make sure you store them in the Spybot program folder:

    Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2

    Windows Vista or Windows 7 or Windows 8: C:\Programs(x86)\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2

If this still does not work please send us your update log.

New reply to Tech ticket I just sent:

Well the download of the manual includes file fixed this temporarily.

It does the same thing the very next day (today) - says that there are no updates available.

I had to grab the manual includes file again and then the update THEN said there are updates available & updated.

I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Spybot.

This just started happening last month.

I sent the Spybot log previously, but here it is again.

Please advise of issue solution, and others are having this problem in forums and have not been responded too.

    Forum threads discussing this issue:

    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread...rus-signatures
    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread...king-correctly

    Are the forums monitored?

    Thanks!
