    Thanks for your logfile,Beadbud5000.
Could you please go to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2,open the av folder, locate bdcore.dll and then right click it,select Properties, then select the Details tab. There should be a number beside Product Version listed there, can you post the number here for me?

    Hi Zenobia

I have two folders. One is named "bdcore.dll.upd"
    The other is named "bdcore.dll'

What should I do? It has been 6 days since spybot would update
    Thanks!

Just bought the home edition and I'm having the same problem:

    "[00:00.000] [i] Update started...
[00:08.787] [+] Installing antivirus signature updates...
[00:09.188] [-] Failed to install Spybot 2 antivirus signatures!
[00:09.188] [-] Failed to install Spybot 2 antivirus signatures!"

    Any advices?

Unfortunately,I'm not sure about bdcore.dll.upd,I don't have access to my own Spybot, and it might be a couple of days before I do,so I can't look and see what is normally there. Is the bdcore.dll.upd file in your AV folder?

    Hi Guys, update status.
I uninstalled the program, cleaned the windows registry and deleted the folder in c:\programs..., restarted and installed again.
Now it's working fine, with all updates and antivirus signatures.

Is it supposed to be there? bdcore.dll is also there with the version number I already mentioned. If bdcore.dll.upd is NOT legitimate, should I just delete it? Do you have access to what AV files are correct to have?
I paid twice for this via paypal. Is my system more vunerable?

    Hi,
I have the same problem with updating anti-virus signatures.

Is there a straightforward solution to this?

    Thanks

    Default They refunded.

I did not know what else to do so I requested a refund. They granted it for the May 2014 payment. My March 2014 payment should still qulify my licence from March, but spybot is basically dysfunctional on my PC as so is the antivirus from what I can tell.
    This is messed up...
