Red face IRP Hook won't go away

    Hello,

AVG Free tells me I have nine instances of the IRP Hook when I run
a whole computer scan. I am able to delete them but they always recur.
I did a Rootkit scan; same result, (though AVG tells me the whole computer
scan includes a Rootkit scan also, so it was redundant)

I have Windows7 Professional and every time I go online with Firefox 43.0.4
the same four browsers open. I usually let my computer sleep, but when i
turn it off the same four browsers open.

I have Spybot Search and Destroy 1.6.2.46. I am a Home user.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you for your consideration.

    Hello Katy1,

For someone to take a look at the system in the Malware Removal Forum please start a new topic there after reading that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.

Then a volunteer analyst will advise as soon as available.

    Best regards.

To ask for assistance in the Malware Removal Forum the analysts will need your logs to review.
