Deleting old version

I am trying install the newest version of Spybot but it tells me it cannot uninstall the old version [I]"C:\Program Files (x86)\Spybot -Search & Destroy 2\unins000.msg" is missing. Please correct the problem or obtain a new copy of the program.

Please help I can not do either !!!

It probably wouldn't do any harm to just bypass uninstalling the older version,since it looks like it is a Spybot 2.0 or higher version,which would install the current version over the top of the old version.That would replace the missing unins000.msg file,most likely allowing you to uninstall the next time you need to.

If Spybot acts funny or anything after installing the current version over the top of the older,then you could just uninstall and start over.
