Spybot 2.4 + AV Update Failure

I have not been able to update malware or virus definitions for some time. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the product with the latest version of 2.4 + AV and applied my license. Is there a workaround? Is there an FTP address where I can download the malware and virus signatures? I tried Ftp://ftp.safer-networking.org and failed to connect.

Try updating without the Spybot proxy,and see what happens.
Rightclick Spybot Start Center and select Run As Administrator,checkmark Advanced User Mode,click Settings,select the Internet Protection tab,uncheck Use Spybot Proxy,then click Apply and OK,then go to Updates,then check for updates,do you get the same errors?
