Spybot Window fails to appear

I have Spybot 2.4.40 installed on my Windows 7 computer. Despite the fact that the Task Manager shows Spybot is running, I cannot get the Spybot program window to appear on my screen, no matter how many times I try. I am trying to use this to scan my system for potential problems. What could be preventing the Spybot program window from appearing?

Is it the Start Center window that doesn't show on the screen?If it is,in task manager,that's listed as sdwelcome.exe.End that process,then try opening the start center again.That happens with mine sometimes,or the scan(sdscan.exe) also,I'm not sure why,but if I do that,it will usually run.

I am trying to use this to scan my system for potential problems.

Is your system having any noticeable problems at the moment?
