Spybot comes up with NewDOTNet. It says it cannot be fixed, it may be in use (in memory) and then I must restart my CPU and run Spybot again.
I keep doing that, and it cannot fix it ! What to do?????

Please run the scan and fix again. After you are done, right click on the result and select "Copy results to clipboard" then paste the clipboard into a new post.

"some problems couldn't be fixed; the reason could be that the associated files are still in use (in memory). This could be fixed after a restart. May Spybot S&D run on your next system startup?" then you either hit the yes or no button. Then when you hit yes, it says
In the blue banner "Confirmation" then lower it says "0 problems fixed. 2 problems could not be fixed. Please restart your computer" then there is an "ok" button and when you hit it, the cpu restarts then spybot runs then the same thing happens over and over and over again. I am getting now where. The version of spybot I have is 1.3 (I don't know if that means anything but I thought I would tell you anyway)
Oh, wait, I think I did the clipboard thing right... is this it???

I suggest that you upgrade to Spybot 1.4 unless you are running Windows 95. You can find download mirror here:

Happy Holidays!!! THANKS!
Thank you, but there was no real "genius" involved. The solution came from doing a simple search of this forum for "newdotnet" and finding Ronni king's thread here:Originally Posted by realbusy

Before I had you post your log, I suspected that you were running Spybot 1.3 and had the same problem as Ronni king. Your log showed Spybot 1.3 and registry entries similar to Ronni king's (although their detections were in Spanish). Probable solution – Upgrade.Originally Posted by Ronni king
