If you are asking if the integrated update facility within Spybot can be used to upgrade from Spybot-S&D 1.3 to Spybot-S&D 1.4, the answer is no. That is because Spybot-S&D 1.4 was not released as an update that could be downloaded via the integrated update facility.
The integrated update facility within both Spybot-S&D 1.3 and Spybot-S&D 1.4 is capable of updating programs within Spybot-S&D itself. For example, the following updates replaced dynamic load libraries within Spybot-S&D:
- Advanced detection library - Advanced detection routines update (87 KB) - 2006-03-10
- Detection support library - Detection support routines update (238 KB) - 2006-03-10
