Admin privileges - cannot immunize

Looking for suggestions, please.
I get a message that I cannot immunize because I do not have admin privileges. I m the only user on the computer. My account is the admin account. I created a 2nd user to transfer admin capability to the other user. I reset my original user to admin and closed the 2nd user. Still won't allow me to use the immunization function.
