Default Version 1.6.2 no longer detects malware?

Over the last couple of weeks or so V. 1.6.2 has stopped detecting malware. This is on three computers, two with Windows 7 and one with Vista. Is this intentional?

    Hello fredg,

Could you expand on, "Over the last couple of weeks or so V. 1.6.2 has stopped detecting malware."

Detections are released every week: https://www.safer-networking.org/about/updates/

    Best regards.

The program( 1.6.2) has ceased to find malware when it is there. This is over 3 computers.
I ran 1.6.2 and it found nothing for about the 4th scan in a row which is odd as I'd visited all the same sites as usual. I uninstalled 1.6.2 and installed 2.4.40 and once updated it found about 40 instances of malware. That says to me that 1.6.2 has a problem and it's a recent one.

When you speak of malware are you referring to tracking cookies?

The latest version of any security software is likely to be more efficient but I don't know why you experienced the1.6.2 issue recently.

Does your Vista operating system have Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed? Just checking.

    Best regards.
