    Default ** computer problems - hardware keeps stalling & lagging

    Dear friends,

    It started some weeks ago when my computer would shut down all of a sudden.

    It still happens once in awhile. We cleaned the computer of much dust. Now a new problem started. Every few seconds the MOUSE lags which is very annoying. It also sometimes goes offline. The keyboard too at times goes offline or repeats the same letterrrr.

    A Superspyantispyware check keeps finding malware but no special virus or trojan. Some of the things found are : outbrain.com & doubleclick.

    I changed USB places, yet the problem remains.

    What do you think is the problem ? Power supply - CPU - MB - possible virus ?

    Any way to fix it ?

    I use
    WIN XP
    Core 2 Duo CPU
    E7300 @ 2.66 GHz

    Thanks
    @mnon

    Hello amnon106,

    Regarding your message that you upgraded to Win 7 and the new topic: https://forums.spybot.info/showthrea...934#post467934

    To request assistance in the Malware Removal Forum please see that forum's FAQ and the instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are used in the preliminary analysis.

    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288

    Then start a new topic providing the logs as shown and a volunteer analyst will advise.

    Best regards.
