Spybot does not update ................

yesterday I installed Spybot and wanted to update ist - after 3 hours of no reaction - I removed it from my PC

today I installed it again from "safernetworking" and the same problem
it says: "spybotsd2-windows-upgrade-installer.exe needs to be downloaded"
then no more reaction for hours ....

Are you running Spybot as an administrator?

You can do this by right-clicking the Spybot icon and choosing the option to "run as administrator". This must be done to give Spybot the permissions it needs to function correctly.


If this does not work, you can download this file manually from our website here:
https://www.safer-networking.org/support/missing-files/

When this file has been successfully downloaded, please copy it into your Spybot program folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2

Or on a 32-bit/x86 PC:
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2


You can then download and install any remaining updates for Spybot.
