    Default Spybot - Search & Destroy 2 --> Setting Dialog don't show

    Hi,

    I just Installed Spybot - Search & Destroy 2 and bought the Privat License

    I'm using Windows 10 (Pro)

    When I try to open the Setting Dialog, I can see that the task is running, but the Window will be not displayed

    I allready Updated to Version 2.5.42 and installed also the "Spybot - Search & Destroy 2" patch files.

    But the result is the same


    even if I try to run SDSettings.exe file separatly, the Setting Dialog will be not Displayed


    Is there an workaround / fix for this issue ?

    Hello hunni,

    Did you switch to advanced mode before attempting to access the “Settings“ module via the Spybot’s Start Center?

    Or via “SDTray“ (the small Spybot 2 icon beside your systems clock in the taskbar) > “Advanced Tools“ > “Settings“.

    Dear tashi,

    yes, I enabled the advanced mode, otherwise I don't see the Settings Icon.

    I also tried to start the Setting Dialog via the TrayIcon

    I also tried to run Spybot - Search & Destroy 2 as Administrator


    in the Taskmanager, I can see that the Setting Task ist running, but the Form will be not displayed

    I send the Information to the Support Team in January, but upto now no information if the problem is solved

    upto now I'm still not able to use the paid license
