Default Can't update to 2.5 Home User

For some odd reason my software update will not download the "Post Win 10 SpyBot install" file. I can hit update 10 times....it will update the AV and that's it...and why it keeps updating is another question.

    I'm running as admin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My title might be a bit confusing.

I meant to say...I'm using Spybot Home Edition and I can't update to 2.5.

Perhaps the Spybot proxy is enabled and it is slowing down the Antispyware Updates if this is a new Spybot install. There's an update to Spybot that will disable the Spybot proxy, but it might not have been downloaded yet. So, you can rightclick the Spybot Start Center, then select Run As Administrator. Checkmark Advanced Mode, then click Settings, then the Internet Protection tab, and make sure Use Spybot Proxy is not checkmarked. If it is checkmarked, uncheck it, then click Apply and OK.
If it is greyed out and unselectable, that's normal, and you should see a note there about Windows 8 and Metro.
Let me know if that helps.

There's also a video about how to upgrade, if you'd also like to watch that as well:

Zenobia, thank you for your reply.

"Use Spybot Proxy" is greyed out and I see the message about Win 8.

I created a ticket but I doubt I'll hear anything till Monday.

    You're welcome.
Good, glad you got a ticket. Yes, I would imagine you'd hear back sometime after the weekend. I'll leave off here and leave you to team spybot to avoid confusion.
However, if this is a new install of Spybot and no antispyware updates at all have been downloaded, you'd be unable to scan with Spybot. Therefore, I'm going to give you the link to instructions to download manual updates:

The instructions to install the manual updates are included in the link.
