    Question The Piggy bank icon

    Hi,

    I'm new to this forum.

    I have downloaded the free Spybot 2.4, S & D.
I have Windows 7 on my tower computer.

I need help if any of you have answers, please...

I would like to know do any of you know how to remove a
piggy bank icon off of Program folder????

It seems to me that Spybot S&D doesn't detect it.
The piggy bank extension icon is from

    "MySafeSavings" site.

And I did GOOGLE it and it says that site is a virus or Malware.

Here's the name of that piggy bank icon extension.

    MSSavings.exe

I right click on that and to Spybot - S&D, and NOTHING HAPPEN.

I'm unable to delete it because it says that the file extension is
running by the administrator, my name on my computer.

It appears to me that Spybot S&D doesn't seem to detect it???
Or whether does it recognize that piggy bank icon is a virus or Malware????

However, I was successfully able to uninstall that piggy bank from the
"Uninstall program" by using iobit Uninstaller. And I tried to remove the
extension file from a program folder, and iobit Uninstaller says that it unable
to remove because that extension file is running.
Well, how can it be IF I already removed from "Uninstall program" area???
I found out why.... It created a Internet Explore Pop up message saying
that you may have a virus or Malware.
I think that Piggy bank extension is running the internet browser by without notice.

I'm including some screen shots to show you what I'm referring to.

Hope all helps with answers, IF any of you have experienced running into with "MySafeSavings" site with
    a BAD browser program.

    Thanks,
    ECruzDistroyer

    Hello ECruzdistroyer,

It might be best for someone to take a look at the system.
Please see the Malware Removal Forum sticky which includes guidelines and instructions in post #2 on how to provide the logs from Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and aswMBR, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.

    http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288

Then start a new topic in that forum providing the logs so a volunteer analyst can assist, also provide a link back to this thread please.

    Best regards.

    Unhappy

    Hi tashi,

Thank you for your response. But I think it's too complex for me to do all of it, that
    you provided the forum link.

However, I just want to say that Spybot 2.4 free tool did NOT recognize that Piggy bank icon.
I did the "System scan" and it didn't listed on the list of results to "FIX SELECTED".
It mostly fixed the Internet Explore which I believe that Piggy bank controls over it, as well.
But I'm mostly using Google Chrome as my internet browser.

I even try "File scan", which I scan on that Piggy Bank, and that Spybot 2.4 tool still doesn't
recognize it. It said "CLEAN". That's wrong..

So, I do not know where to go from here without going through a complex steps that you provided.
I do not know anyone from this forum is in the Seattle area that would do this.

    Thanks,

    Hello ECruzdistroyer,

If you post the logs a friendly helper will guide you step by step.

Or just start a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum and ask for assistance.

    Tashi,

    Which log should I provide???

    After I do "System scan"???

    Or

    "File scan".

Please let me know to be clarify.

    Thanks,
    ECruzdistroyer

"Destroyer" means trying to destroy the file I do NOT want.

That seems to be the best choice, then you can ask the analyst how to proceed and be guided.

    Best regards.
