Broken update definitions

What is this mean? Look screenshot. Also when updating, windows event reported appliacation error on sdupdtsvc.exe How can i fix broken signatures? Thanks

In the newest Spybot version, you shouldn't see the broken signatures anymore. It's Spybot version 2.6:

2.6 is broken crap. Bitdefender error all the time. I used spybot only for manual scan sometimes, but dection ratio is very poor and i keep it only for immunization feature now. In next fresh windows reinstall i will not install this software anymore.

https://www.safer-networking.org/". That's the best answer? I've got 2.6 and have same problem listed here. Updates 25 times with no better result. I had Free Version which worked fine. Paid for +AV and hasn't worked since. Need my money back if not fixed and I'll go back to free.

I'm sorry, TheOwner, I get the same Bitdefender error, but I wasn't aware that more than a few people were getting the error. I got the Bitdefender error to stop by disabling the Scanner Service. Scanner Service is needed for some functions of Spybot, I believe, on the Services page it says it is for scanning single files on access or custom demand scans, as well as internet connections. If you use Spybot mainly for immunization, you could possibly disable the Scanner Service to stop the error, if you want to, and have no need of the functions it lists that it is for.

I have all 3 services disabled. No reason run them if i use this program only for manual scan sometimes. Dont undestand what scanner service do, because in free version is no realtime protection. Manual scan work without those services.
Also i dont see any reason why i should upgrade from 2.4 to 2.6. Manual scan will have the same results.

Yes, you can stay with Spybot 2.4 if you wish to, the manual scan will have the same results. I posted about Spybot 2.6 originally because that version doesn't show broken signatures on the Update page anymore.
