Can't run or reload spybot

Was having issues with my computer yesterday and tried to run spybot. For some reason the front screen icon is missing so I selected it from my menu and it said I needed to update the software so I moved forward with it. It rand for a little bit and then the screen went black. I tried several times to reboot this computer but it wouldn't so I unplugged all power and let it sit overnight.

Today when I try to run spybot I keep getting this error message: SDSacan.exe Application error This application was unable to start correctrly :0xc000142). Click to close this application.

This conputer won't do anything Spybot related. Everything else is slow. Ran CCleaner. Wanted to set a restore point but I can't find it on my computer. Toshiba Satellite POC.

The Spybot Start Center will still start, though? If so, could you please rightclick the Spybot-S&D Start Center, select Run As Administrator, then go to Update, click Show Update Log. Click CTRL A so all the text is highlighted, then rightclick, select Copy, then paste the logfile here. If you have any problems pasting it here it might be because the update.logfile has a lot of updates listed in it, and it's too large to paste here. In that case, please let me know or if you have problems getting to the logfile itself.

Also, to make it easier to find system restore so you can set a restore point, what operating system are you currently using? (Windows 8, Windows 10, etc.)

Well.... I've tried everything and finally rebooted because I wasn't getting any advice or making any progress and I am way to impatient to wait. Now I don't have any apps including spybot with a license up to October 2018 and I've tried downloading and they want more money to update my 2016 license. Fat chance that will happen. Not real happy with spy bot right now but I'd like to get it operational right now. The only thing they did was to boot me from one thread to another and didn't tell me where they booted me to. I had to figure that out myself so I am wondering what exactly I am paying for because there isn't any customer service worth having that I can see. How about someone helping me to get back to the point I was at before a virus that I thought spy bot was protecting me from attacked?

When did you open the support ticket please, have you received another response? The support team will resolve any license issue.

I'm downloading the app that was sent by spybot in a link. So far so good. I shouldn't take me trashing spy bot to get a response. That is poor business practice. I still wonder why a virus infected my computer when I paid money for spy bot to protect me from that? I'm not a computer whiz but dang my computer is still way messed up. That is why I hired you spy bot and you've failed.

Your posts in this forum have little to do with your receiving a response from our technical office after opening a support ticket at the home site. Tickets are responded to in order of receipt, and after research.

Do you have other security programs installed, if so please list them. Thank you.

I don't know in what way your computer is "messed up" but we'd like to help. Please provide information to clarify why you suspect the computer is infected by a virus. What are the symptoms please.

Initially the computer wouldn't boot up (Screen would go black or blank) but about every third or fourth try. Once it booted up I tried running apps and they were excruciatingly slow. I thought I would run Spy Bot but it needed to update. The computer shutr down during the update twice. Then Spy BOt said several routines were missing and I couldn't update anymore. Then, I tried to use CCleaner. It deleted a bunch of things but I noticed there was a bunch of new apps I'd never installed before. Then I thought I would try to restore the computer at an earlier restore point. Could find the restore point program in my setup menu. Went back to CCleaner to do a restore point and I couldn't put a restore point in so I did a system restore.

The computer is running again but the computer chose Midrosoft Edge as browser and I changed it to google chrome. I've loaded back some of the software and have tried to load in Spy Bot and the error message is previously listed above. I don't see Malware Bytes on my system anymore, I haven't tried to reload it but I see a Malware Bytes error message every now and then in association with Spy Bot. Windows Defender keeps wanting me to real time operation though I don't see it in my software menu.

Everything is running faster but it is still very slow. That could be my (limited) unlimited Verizon 4G (really no G) internet provider. Basically everything suck big time.

Prior to Mondays system restore this has been a reoccurring problem about once a month but it would only happen once then reboot. I had noticed that if I pluggged something in a usb port while booting that the screen would go blank and nothing would happen so I stopped doing that.

I sent the error message back to Spy Bot well over 21 hours ago and there has been absolutely no reply.
