    Default License update broke SS&D

Bought a new license today and after installing the update/restarting my PC I can no longer access the Spybot Search and Destroy program settings. I've tried to uninstall the program but the Windows control panel says the program has already been uninstalled. The 3 files needed for the uninstall executable are in the correct folder on my PC but trying to run the uninstall from there also fails. The Live Protection is turned on and is blocking the majority of systems on my PC from running so I cannot do a system restore from my backup file. Any suggestions for how to disable the Live Protection or how to get Spybot off my computer?

If you are able to, please try rightclicking the little Spybot icon down by your clock and clicking Live Protection to remove the checkmark beside it. There's a picture on the website I'll post to better show what I mean:
    https://www.safer-networking.org/wp-...Protection.png
I believe that changes Live Protection to Partial, so please be cautious after unchecking it:
    https://www.safer-networking.org/faq...ction-partial/
Due to this, for the time being, it might be best to reenable another real-time protection. Try rebooting your computer, and if Spybot is still installed after you reboot try following the instructions to restart Windows Defender, if you have an operating system with Windows Defender:
    https://www.safer-networking.org/faq...er-windows-10/
These instructions might need to be adjusted if you aren't on Windows 10, but I'll give the instruction to you for the time being. In your next post please let me know if you do have windows 10 or another operating system.
If you are unable to open Spybot's settings after rebooting, then click windows key + r, type in services.msc and press ok. Scroll down to Spybot-S&D 2 Security Center Service, click Stop to stop the service, then doubleclick it and next to startup type set it to disabled for now. After that, reboot your computer, and that should enable Windows Defender to run after you log back into windows. Please make sure windows defender did turn back on:

If you run into any problems doing this, please let me know. Also, after you log back into windows please check and see if Spybot is still listed as being installed.
These instructions are to help try to keep you as safe as possible until the issues can be dealt with. Please let me know how it went, and if that gets set up okay then after this I'll probably get you to contact Spybot support for help with the license issues.
