    Default Live Protection

    Hi,

I've used Spybot for a long time but have only recently upgraded to the pro edition.
I'm finding I can't use Live Protection as when I try to install it it says 'Live Protection system driver cannot be installed'.
Can anybody tell me why this is ?

Default Tried and still a problem

"Once you have restarted your machine, please open Spybot.
You should see a dialog asking you whether or not to install Live Protection.
    Click Yes.
Live Protection should now be enabled."

yet, when I open my Start Center, it still shows Live Protection as Off. no matter how many times I do it, no matter how many times I reboot, or uninstall/re-install. I was emailed a response to the ticket I submitted - it included a download for version2.7, which was supposed to include a fix for exactly that problem. It didn't work either. I am extremely frustrated now an d near ready to give up on Spybot after nearly a decade of working with it. Can somebody PLEASE help?

Look at the secure boot option.

I have the same problem, but I read in the notes that if you have Secureboot enabled in the bios it won't allow you to install the Live Protection.

I could be wrong, since I haven't tried it and maybe a read the notes wrong.

There's an additional little blurb at the end of the page to try if reinstalling does not work.
If Live Protection is still not enabled, please go to the Live Protection settings in Spybot, and then click “Install Live Protection”.

    • When Live Protection has been successfully installed, you can then click “Activate Live Protection”.
    • Live Protection will then be enabled and actively protecting your PC.

If that doesn't work, you could contact Support:
