Above are the two logs. It appears neither found anything.

The computer seems better but then again it would run OK for a little bit and then act up and cause problems. I might need to try it out for a few days to know for sure.

Something strange that I had only seen once before earlier today was the computer disconnected from my wifi at home. The only way I could get it to connect was to restart. I tried turning my wifi card off, then on but nothing. This happened right when I went to run these previous scans. I also tried to turn my phone hotspot on and it could not connect to that either...

Thank you again Are there anymore scans we should run?

I'm thinking your modem/router needs to be rebooted? or call your ISP to have a check on their end.

Continue to use it for a while and make note of what it does.
If it turns out to be something I can't help with I can direct you to another forum for tech support.

The only scans remaining we haven't run would be rootkit scans. Since logs are returning with nothing found I really don't think it necessary.
    But we can

Follow the instructions in the thread below. Make sure to download the MBAR version linked in it. Let me know if you're not able to launch it and run a scan.

    https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topi...-malwarebytes/

delete everything it finds, and then copy/paste the content of the mbar-log-DATE-(TIME).txt log that is located in the MBAR folder here after.

I'll check back in the morning.

I am not sure about the router as I tried turning my phone into a hotspot and bypassing the router. The computer still could not connect.

I will try it out for a few days and see how it behaves. I appreciate your help!

    Hey good timing!

So after a few days it was running great. However, yesterday and today it started running slow again. Pretty much back to what it was doing. Malwarebytes was running in the background and found a few PUPS. I have ESET on this computer but need to renew it. I tried messing with that and had a slew of problems from "not having access" to when I tried to fix it or uninstall it.

Not sure. What do you think I should try? Run another scan?

I can understand the computer running a bit slow while MBAM was running/scanning. But performance was still bad after the scan completed?

    A PUP (potentially unwanted program)
Did it give a file or folder path name?

For ESET not uninstalling right or if it's giving your problems, please go to their hwlp web site below, register and create a topic asking for help. (If you wish to keep it or I can post links to other antivirus programs you can use.)

Wonder if it's Eset causing alot of issues on your computer?

We can run another Farbar Recovery Scan

    • Right-Click FRST.exe / FRST64.exe and select Run as administrator to run the programme.
    • Click Yes to the disclaimer.
    • Ensure the Addition.txt box is checked.
    • Click the Scan button and let the programme run.
    • Upon completion, click OK, then OK on the Addition.txt pop up screen.
    • Two logs (FRST.txt & Addition.txt) will now be open on your Desktop. Copy the contents of both logs and paste in your next reply.

Me too about the Malware scan - and I thought that was all it was but then the next day it took forever to start up and began to freeze. I had to do a hard reset. I reset and it was still having problems. Now it feels like it is back to what it was.

I just noticed my desktop background is changed without me doing anything. My task bar is a different color. And I am not sure if it is doing any windows updates anymore.

I just went looking for that Malware log and I cannot find it. There were 6 PUPs. I do however have the link/path to one that I had in my history when I googled it:

    HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Children\001\Internet Explorer\EdpDomStorage\iad-usadmm.dotomi.com

I will see if I can find the other 5 from the report, but for some reason it is gone.

Not sure about ESET - I know I need to renew it. It pops up from time to time. I was going to uninstall it completely and download a new version from their website but I cannot remove it now... It act like I do not have administrative access or something.

Another interesting note - I just received a hijack notice from Malwarebytes:
