can't abort the update

once the update is running I can't abort it wih the abort button

My cancel button doesn't work,either,when I'm downloading updates.I believe it's just a little bug.

As I recall, it was only designed to cancel the download between files, not while a file was in the process of [attempting] a download.

I also recall PepiMK (Patrick) mentioning that he thought he might be able to force this at a deeper level, though this obviously would have to wait for a new program version for the change.

Since Patrick just indicated that a beta of a new version is imminent, we may soon see if he managed to include this and/or other improvements to the update system as a whole.
