    Default Spybot "not responding" after a scan Safe Mode?

    Having to stop normal use and re-boot in safe mode is insanely onerous.

    I have tried every other fix and I get the same issue.

    Why can't you just fix the problem?

    Hello duncfair,

    To clarify, you are using Spybot version 2x and it stops responding after you have run a scan.

    At which stage after the scan does it stop responding?

    Default Spybot not responding problem

    I too am having the Spybot not responding problem when I select "Fix Selected" after a scan has completed.

    I am running the 64 bit version of Windows 10 and Spybot 2.7 free.

    I have left the Spybot app open for many hours, checking back occasionally, and eventually it always finishes, but it usually takes many hours, almost always when my PC is not otherwise in use.

    I usually have a number of apps open and in use, most frequently the newest version of Chrome with numerous tabs open, Microsoft Excel and Visual Studio Code. There are often others.

    It's annoying and not confidence inducing, but it always eventually finishes.
