It's the time of the month for updates to be coming through, everyday maybe twice a day antivirus updates come through (Long list of things that behave the same way)
I don't think any of this was malware related. But if you have more issues later that are system related, we'll have to go to the Lenovo help forums.

It's been 4 days now, so I'm expecting things are back to normal.

Please download KpRm by Kernel-panik and save to your Desktop.
    • Click on KpRm.exe to run the tool.

Vista/Windows 7/8/10 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.
    • Right-click kprm_(version).exe and select Run as Administrator.
    • When the tool opens, ensure all boxes are checked, and select Run.
    • Once complete, click OK.
    • A log will open in Notepad titled kprm-(date).txt.
    • Please copy and paste its contents in your next reply.
    • When the tool has finished, it will create and open a log report and delete itself.
