    ok Juliet I do the scan and reboot and it scans but then the search thru event viewer shows no wininit files listed. we've looked extensively and none.

    Did you run both scans?

    Rebooted?, has the computer changed for the better?

    Can you check Windows updates?, anything trying to download or need installing?

    sorry i was called away, no i just tried the first then looked for the log and stopped. i'll run the other now.

    juliet i ran the first scan again but still no wininit file he mentions to be found it wouldn't let me copy so i had to do a screenshot

    OK, it says it found corrupt files and repaired, have you rebooted the machine since the scan and is it acting any better?

    yes i rebooted it and ran win update, a few failed but will retry and they were not essential files but yes i believe it is running a lot faster so again my friend...thank you so much! i guess i'm outta here!

    When you ran that scan it said it had found corrupt files and repaired them so I think, that saved you.

    man, give it a day or two.
