Let's see if your machine is in need of windows updates

At the lower left of the tool bar, click on the Microsoft icon, type in windows updates, then at the top left click on check for updates,
this should open a new window
at the top to the right, click om the Check for updates button

Let's see if anything is missing here.

well @%#$&*& that update is at 25% installed again now i can't figure out how to stop it. why doesn't microsoft pull something they know is bad instead they leave it up to be downloaded after being deleted?

Let's wait it out and see if it's something you needed. Supposedly the bad update was pulled.
If something is messing with the computer after we can attempt to uninstall it.

After the update completes, the machine reboots, try surf around and let's see whats happened.
