System scan times have increased by ~ 10X.

Update started manually just prior to system scan. Under 10 minutes to update signatures. Started system scan, deleted temporary files, and walked away. Checked in 3-4 hours later. Progress bar was <20 %. Seemed odd. Started normal shut-down. Screen reported Shutting Down after 45 minutes. Forced shut down and tried again. Same symptoms.
