    Default Concerning Anti-Beacon...

Hi, first off let me say that my rig is fine and I'm not hijacked or infected and am not in need of this type of help. I just upgraded my Spybot Anti-Beacon to v. 4.01 from v.2.1, both of which are of the Free Versions. Setup was easy and it seems to be doing well.

The only issue I am hooked up on is with the previous version I enabled EVERYTHING available to me for protection, as I have with this newer version. I'm OK with this. This protection suits me.
Yet I have noticed that since the upgrade to this version after checking for Windows Updates and it is done with its work, finding nothing to update and going into the "Privacy" section...> then into the "Activity History"... I find the 'Clear History Button' greyed out and unusable. So, I can not clear my recent history of looking for Windows Updates.

This was NOT the case on the previous version installed. I have delved into the settings of Anti-Beacon and the explanations given for everything that I enable for immunization and can not find the setting that has disabled this button or its function.

Anyone able to help with this "issue"?

    Appreciate your time and consideration.

hi. Looking through the immunizers on the website the most promising thing I saw was Operating System-then Windows User Activities. That's listed on this page under Immunizers:
    https://www.safer-networking.org/pro...t-anti-beacon/
You could try removing that one, if able and see if the button comes back. Mind you I'm unsure if I have found the right one, but it's worth a try. You might have to reboot first. That's covered under "How to check if Anti-Beacon is responsible for missing Windows functionality?" on this FAQ page:
    https://www.safer-networking.org/sup...ti-beacon-faq/
Anti-Beacon blocks various parts of Windows that can be regarding as tracking you, the user. In case this has unwanted side-effects, please open up Anti-Beacon, press the Customize button and test, one by one, which Anti-Beacon immunizer is responsible for this.

Some changes Spybot Anti-Beacon applies can only be reverted by rebooting the system after undoing the Anti-Beacon immunizer.
You could also ask Team Spybot on the contact form if you'd like, available here:
    https://www.safer-networking.org/support/#contactform
Anti-beacon is available to select on the pull-down menu under Software & License.
