    Default Immunization Incomplete

    Greetings, everyone.

So, I've been using Spybot Search & Destroy for years and never had any issues, but a few days ago I've been getting an error message whenever I run the Immunization, stating that the Immunization was incomplete and that 194 entries are still unprotected. This never happened to me before.

The detailed info reveals that they're Opera cookies. I've tried clearing Opera's cache and even manually deleting the cookies in the App Data, but the Immunization problem still persists.

The Spybot pop-up says it could be because of other security software being blocking changes, but I don't have anything else installed other than Spybot. I'm extremely careful (and paranoid) with where I browse nor have installed anything recently, so I don't think it's any malware, but a false positive.

Either way, I ran a full scan of Windows Defender and Spybot, and nothing appeared. I also ended up installing Malware Bytes just in case Spybot wasn't detecting everything it should, but after a full, 2 hour scan, it was all clean. So I really think this might be some false positive.

I've searched online to see if anyone else had this issue, but there were like, only two threads about it, in the Spybot official forums back from 2015, but none offered any concrete solution, but it appears to be a long-running bug. I actually found a Reddit thread about it from around a year ago, but didn't help much either.

Any ideas of what this could be? Should I actually be concerned? Opera recently had a massive update so I wonder if something could be interfering with Spybot.

Thank you kindly for the attention.

I had a search of the forum. This may have been one of the threads you read but at the end there's a post by PepiMK to make sure your browser is closed when immunizing:

Other than that, I didn't find much else posted either. I do recall this issue with Opera cookies being immunized coming up from time to time. So even though your issue just appeared now I don't believe it would be due to any threat on your computer or anything, as you said maybe it is related to the Opera update somehow, though I'm unsure on that.
