Definate infection, possible poison ivy variant?

Symptoms: System Idle Process constant CPU usage, multiple instances of default browser running (firefox.exe). Computer doesn't shut down properly, EVENT:XPCOMRECEIVER unable to close...

I've updated the latest spybot and adaware definitions and ran them in safe mode but it still isn't working.

In add and remove programs remove Messenger Plus!

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following,

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Post back a fresh HijackThis log and we will take another look.

Think i've cleared it up, it kept reappearing a bit but no symptoms anymore. Hijackthis is easy to use once you read the tutorial

nope, if anyone was interested it was an exploit in the Sun Java system, virus/trojan whatever it was was found in the cache files there...

But personally my comp is fixed so thread can be closed
