Default Cannot Open AVI Spybot Error

Whenever I try to download the updates from Spybot, I get this window pop that says: "Cannot Open AVI"
    That's all it says.

I've attached a screenshot for your viewing pleasure.:D

There was another report about "Cannot Open AVI". I don't know if it will help because it does not appear as if MUff!N was able to resolve their problem:

If you are unable to get the updates using the integrated update facility, you can manually download and execute an update file from safer-networking.org:
    • Detection updates 2005-12-09 - product description
      md5: 37716E587907ADD1C25F39FC6591147E

This updates the detection rules. Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D.

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.

Are you using the Beta Microsoft 'Vista' OS and something called VTP?

Take a look at this thread on the TechConnect Magazine "Vista Transformation Pack" forum. It doesn't mean much to me, but looks like your problem.

Maybe the discussion will allow you to fix it, it seems the final poster 'thengt' found some setting to change?

Is Vista transformation Pack listed in add/remove programs anywhere?

I'd never heard of Service Pack 3 windows vista installer.Could you tell me more about that package?
I'd never heard of VTP being bundled with anything else, though I do not know that for sure. Here is a little bit about vtp.
