    Question FreeProxy.exe, a malware?

I'm not sure if this is related to this hxxx://www.handcraftedsoftware.org

According to this site here http://spywarefiles.prevx.com/RRACJJ...PROXY.EXE.html freeproxy.exe is a malware... (I suspect my PC have one.. named - freeProxy/freeWeb.. I tried uninstalling it & it kept saying it can't be completed because "instances of it" is still running)

Spybot didn't find anything. Can anyone verify the real status of this freeproxy.exe?

    Hi

I am the author of FreeProxy. Regardless of what you have read at spywarefiles.prevx.com FreeProxy does NOT have any malware. I have contacted spywarefiles and registered a strong objection to their unresearched and libelous comments.

If you need support for FreeProxy, which I may add is a full featured proxy also offering a number of other free web services, you can access the support forum at:

    http://www.handcraftedsoftware.org

There have been over a million downloads of this program which is used in every strata of the internet community. Its offered free. Maybe this is a mistake and I should charging the hundreds of dollars its worth.

If you need any assistance, please log a message in the forum and your question will be answered. In addition there is a lot of help and technical articles to assist with problem resolution

FreeProxy has been reclassified as "Good" after mistakenly been originally registered as "bad".

Please see the amended classification at
