    Default Adware_BHJK Removal

Hi, this Adware thing is a serious problem.

It's Adware, and what's weird is, even when I'm not on the internet, it remakes itself.

I go to websites like Wikipedia and this website, Trend Micro's website and other such safe websites.

With Spybot's Scan I get nothing from the websites I go to, but this little guy is always popping out of nowhere.

Spybot S&D doesn't find it, but Trend Micro PC Cillin 2008 does. Even when I'm not using the computer, it's there.

This is a shared computer, and I scan on every account, but this Adware thing is like, just on all of it. I remove it every time, but it comes back.

According to Trend MIcro PC Cillin 2008, it's found at:

    HKLM/SOFTWARE/WebGuide

    Here is my HJT Log:

It would not let me delete WebGuide and ShopGuide from C:\Program Files because it says I need permission.

I typed in the password and all, but what did I do wrong?

    Default Cancel That: There is

It also said my main firewall was infected for some reason.

And...I saved it to the destination, and I can't find it, it says for my computer's security it was saved under "Temporary Internet Files" and I can't find it there either.

    Hi

There is no "save as text" button on the Kasperky online scan.
Okay, exact name is "save report as".

And...I saved it to the destination, and I can't find it, it says for my computer's security it was saved under "Temporary Internet Files" and I can't find it there either.
You mean Kaspersky online scanner report? If you can't find it then I believe you have to run scanner again. This time save it to your desktop. Saving files to temporary internet files location is not recommended since files placed there will stay only temporarily there.

It also said my main firewall was infected for some reason.
What "it"? Could you tell me what was the exact message you got?

Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.
    • Save it to your desktop.
    • Please right-click on the OTMoveIt2.exe file and choose Run As Administrator).
    • Copy the lines in the codebox below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):

      Code:
      C:\Program Files\ShopGuide
      C:\Program Files\WebGuide
    • Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste Standard List of Files/Folders to Move" window (under the light blue bar) and choose Paste.
    • Click the red Moveit! button.
    • Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
    • Close OTMoveIt2

Note: If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. In this case, after the reboot, open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post with a fresh hjt log & Kaspersky online scanner report.

By "It" I meant the Kaspersky program, and is this ADWARE_BHJK thing a serious problem?
