With XP, even if the "Lock Hosts file read-only" is UNcheck, when immunizing Global (Hosts), Spybot is setting the Hosts file read-only.
Did I missed a setting elsewhere to keep my Hosts file not read-only ?

Since at least version 1.5 of Spybot, when immunizating "Global (Hosts)" Spybot:
- Automatically removes the read-only attribute, if set, on the HOSTS file (without notice).
- Automatically sets the read-only attribute on the HOSTS file when the "Global (Hosts)" immunization completes (without an option to prevent it).
Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition running on a 2.40GHz Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with 512 MB of RAM and a 533 MHz System Bus.
Alors d'accord.
The answer is clear (I like the "without an option to prevent it" precision).
I have noticed this behaviour since many months but do not bother to ask. I was just surprised by the apparent illogicality between the uncheck "Lock Hosts file read-only" option and this.
Thank you.
