    Question Scheduler Issues, Not Running.

    Hello all

I'm having some problems with the scheduling of updates and scans. I will start with what I want spybot to do on a regular basis, at the scheduled date and time.

    I want it to:
    1. Update
    2. Immunize
    3. Scan and Fix, but stay open so i can review it.

So I used the built in scheduler and created the update and scan tasks a couple months ago, but while I was just looking at it, it stated that both jobs have never run.

I have other scheduled tasks, google update and apple update that both run at their scheduled times. and I have checked the Scheduled Tasks service, and it is set to auto run and is currently started.

Any advice you could offer to help me out would be great.

    Thanks in advance,

    Grochien

    Hello,

    Do you have admin rights?
    Did you enter a password?

    Yes, I have admin rights.
And it didn't prompt me for a password.

    I'm running WinXP Pro.

    Hello,

    This might help:
0x80070005: Access is denied" error message when you create a scheduled task in Windows XP Service Pack 2
    Scheduled Tasks in Windows XP

    Also see:
Scheduled Tasks cannot run with a blank password

There is workaround for the password requirement in Windows XP.
    See the following thread:

    Best regards
