A number of unneeded registry items show up in the System Startup tool. They have been toggled off for a very long time (years) and I would like to delete them.

But I am unclear about the functionality of the Delete key. I have been unable to find this answer in the help files or in the forum.

Does it delete the ticked items (which I need to keep) or does it delete the item that the cursor is on at the time I click it?

I asked this question last summer and nobody replied. Clarification would be appreciated!

Hello,

Tick the item you want to delete with your mouse, so it is highlighted in blue now. Then choose "delete" from the menu bar above.

But I would recommend to only delete items you are absolutely sure of what they stand for and that you really do not need them any more.
