    Default Hit with Fraud.hotspotshield

I need your help please. When I run Spybot it shows I have Malware Fraud.hotspotshield. Spybot shows the malware in the scan, but MalwareBytes and Windows Security Essentials does not. Spybot is unable to "fix" the problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hello thumperslw,

I moved your topic to the Spybot-Search & Destroy forum as to request assistance in the malware forum one needs to follow procedure as outlined in the FAQ

Please let us know which version of Spybot you are running and also if you ran Spybot as Administrator. How can I get administrator rights under Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8?

    Hi thumperslw,

For someone to take a look at the system start a new topic in the Malware Removal Forum and a volunteer analyst will advise when available.

First see that forum's FAQ which also includes instructions in post #2 on how to provide DDS and aswMBR logs, which are the logs used in the preliminary analysis.

    Best regards.

    Default I also found this

I also found it on my spybot 2.1, when i scanned with admin privileges, it seemed to be able to clean it right off, so it shouldn't be a problem getting rid of it

thumperslw, as an administrator on the computer or did you elevate admin rights on Spybot as shown in the link provided?

    Best regards.

    Hello thumperslw,

I split off your DDS log to a new topic in the malware forum.

Did you miss the question in my previous post, #6 in this thread.
