Default Same 4 Files Reappear After they've been Immunized

Windows 10 - SpyBot Home (purchased March 2019)

Unlike the always-seamless immunization process used to always go, I now have the same 4 files ALWAYS reappear and "need to be immunized".

    PE_C_Default.Migrated
    PE_C_Default.installations
    PE_C_Default.popups
    PE_C_Default.images

I immunize them but they just reappear every time. I then APPLY IMMUNIZATION, get a "COMPLETE" message. But they will just show up again at next Immunization check.

I would apppreciate any info you can provide as to what this means, what causes it and any fixes available.

    Thanks

    Hello David,

The reason I asked is because of the FAQ on this page

    Immunization

"Why does Firefox Immunization get undone frequently?
Firefox Immunization works by adding negative permissions to your Firefox profile, which will effectively block elements.

Some registry cleaners are unable to distinguish between positive and negative permissions and will simply remove all permissions from your Firefox profile."

So my next question is, are you using a registry cleaner?

    Best regards,
    tashi

    Tashi,

Yes. I suppose I did not recogize the FAQ item as being relative to my issue. I use 2 "cleaners" ; CCleaner and Advance Care Systems (both = Free editions) I use each regularly and notice that ACS often finds much to clean even after CCLEANER has been run just before.

My goal is to keep my computer at it's optimum performance, delete the overwhelming amount of junk/unwanted/unnecessary files and to enhance the basic security of my computer. PLEASE feel free to provide your comments or suggestions as to how I can accomplish this with SpyBot S&D.

I sincerely appreciate your time and assistance.

    DAVID

    Hi David,

I like CCleaner to clear temporary files but I don't use their registry cleaner.

    Registry Cleaners, not recommended

Of course it is a personal decision.

    Best regards,
