When I am doing actions such as talking on msn or on the internet everythiong slows down and I get this message come up /daslied.da.funpic.org/index.php?pic2038.jpg. If I am in msn then it comes up and sends it in a conversation and if I am on the internet then it comes up in the download toolbar (I have firefox). I have hxxx://daslied.da.funpic.org/index.php?pic2038.jpg what?

If you have not yet installed Spybot-S&D read here:

Make sure you update Spybot-S&D so that when you scan you have the latest definitions.

• Open Spybot-S&D
• Click on 'Update' in the navigation bar
• Search for available updates
• Select all available relevant updates
• Select a download location
• Download the selected updates
• If you receive a Bad Checksum!! error select another download server

1) Run an on-line Anti Virus scan.

• Panda Online Scan

Panda ActiveScan
*Note: There are reports you would receive advertisements from the company on a continual basis so be careful which email address is used.

• eTrust Antivirus Web Scanner

• Bit Defender Virus Scan

• Trend Micro Online Scan

• Housecall For alternate browsers

Do not be concerned if the scanner "finds" things it says it cannot fix.
Save the log/report at the end of the on-line scan to post in your topic

An on-line scan is not the same as using your resident anti-virus program which is why we ask to see the results of an on-line scanner.


2) Reboot your computer into SafeMode by doing the following:

• Restart your computer
• After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, begin tapping F8.
• Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
• Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

3) Open Spybot-S&D while still in safe mode.

1. Close all browsers, check for problems and fix everything found in red
2. Repeat until no more items are found in red

a) Close Spybot-S&D
b) Reboot back into Windows

thanks for the help but i have actually managed to remove the virus myself. I found that it had embedded itself into windows live meesenger so whenever the porgram was opened so was the virus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program now and my computer seems to be running fine. I will run spybot anyway just to make sure that the virus is fully gone.
