    Smile Spybot 1.6.2 & msvcrt.dll

I am using Windows XP MCE with Spybot 1.6.2.

When I start up Spybot I get a dialog box telling me that the cxxFrameHandler3 entry point cannot be found in dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.

Spybot still appears to work but it never happened previously so I'm looking for a solution that stops the dialog box appearing.

    Can anyone help please? TIA.

Can you uninstall Spybot, reboot, and reinstall a fresh copy?

I have The same problem and the error is still present even after a new installation, even though the msvcrt.dll in system32\ and i386\ are identical.

    What now?

Look in c:\windows\system32. If you find there "wer.dll" remove it, you dont need it.

Could you also explain in detail, how wer.dll and Spybot's cxxFrameHandler3 error are connected to eachother? And why this has nothing to do with msvcrt.dll?
